Nobody deserves the death penalty for believing in a non-existent deity. More particularly the believers in one non-existent deity do not deserve death at the hands of believers in yet another non-existent deity. Deporting the Gul family is a de facto death sentence.

Asad Gul Alban and family belong to Glasgow!

Asad Gul Alban his wife, Gullrukh, his daughter 6 year old Maryam, his sons, three year old Nadab and Abishai one and a half. Are currently detained in Yarls' wood IRC and due to be forcibly removed from the UK on Tuesday 1st July on Pakistani International Airlines flight PK758 from Heathrow to Lahore at 21:00 hrs.

The family came to the UK from Pakistan eleven months ago. They are devout Christians. Asad Gul Alban had run a publishing business in Pakistan for more than ten years. As a Christian he had often published Christian books and magazines and had been involved in missionary work for the Church.

As a result of this work Asad has faced many problems in Pakistan including false charges of blasphemy.
